Ok, I FINALLY picked up a windows OS for my gaming rig. COMPUSA is now gone, but I picked up Vista Home Basic for DIRT cheap. Drivers are up to date and Im ready to go. What should I pick up game wise....:shrug: Im thinks of stuff from the last few years as this isn't exactly a monster gaming rig.

I like the Battlefield series minus BF Vietnam and 2142. Dead Meat still has a server for both running. Other then that, I got nothing since I don't have tme to play anything else.

Depends what you're into. Oblivion was the runaway favorite game for last year. Huge single player RPG. I really enjoyed Rise of Legends if you're into RTS games, although I believe Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars is out now and should play fine on an average system. Haven't tried that one myself, yet. Company of Heroes is a phenomenal WWII simulator, along the lines of Medal of Honor. Excellent game. If you want the more futuristic FPS games, make sure you check out the big three, if you haven't already: Quake 4, Doom 3 and Half-Life 2. All three are getting a little long in the tooth, but they're still the epitome of the genre, in my opinion. For goofy games, I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but I had a ball playing LEGO Star Wars II. It's one of those games you can have fun playing for 5 minutes or waste an entire evening on.

I put an hour in a night over on DM. Unless I have something else to do. Like work... Or going to a rockies game, or working on my jeep, DaJudges Jeep, my Dad's car...

How can you not like BF:V?! Jamming out in the Jeep to classic tunes == best! I don't know if I can work with you now! :flipoff2:

Oh and I have to get ready for a baby and do grad work so Im inside too much. :(

Soldier of Fortune II (gold), and Counter Strike Source. Both great FPS with tons of people online 24/7. Both also have kickass mods like Zombie mod for CSS. Basically you start out two teams both "on the same team". One person randomly chosen after 5 seconds becomes a zombie. Zombies get like 400% health or something, can't run as fast, and one stab from them makes you a zombie. Round ends when all zombies are dead or everyone is a zombie. LOVE that mod, I'll spend days playing that one.

Yeah, we play Zombie in Halo 2 from time to time. Can be fun if you have a good group of gamers. Otherwise it can suck.
