Got a few good ones out of the 200+ that I shot with it today. That tells you how picky I am about my shots, huh?
Here they are. Comments, Compliments, Critiques, Questions... all welcome!

Let me know what you think. I'm already loving the wider angle!

very nice! hey, how can I put my siggy at the bottom of my pics?
I like the first and the third shot. Great detail on the rocks and nice composition with the sky and clouds. Is that you?
On the first shot, I love the detail of your subjects toes...but wondering if more light could have been placed on her. I know she's in the shadows, but it would be nice if some more light was on her....

Hey Gray, is the subject your girlfriend? If so, you should bring her to the shoot and greet so she can be our model!
During our last day of photo class, we got to take pics of a model with all the cool lights and the black background. It was a lot of fun!

Sig: I just highlight all of my picture, then select "Stroke" and set it to 20px and black color. After I did that, I use a custom font (found it on the net somewhere) and write out my 'name' and place it at a corner.
That isn't me in either of those shots. That's my GF and a friend of mine.
On that first shot I tried for about 30 minutes playing with Curves and Levels in photoshop and just couldn't get a happy medium except for what you see now. It was actually a lot darker when I started! I need a GND filter so bad for stuff like that.
Thanks for the C&C!

I tried a fill-flash but it didn't look too good. It was brighter for sure, but it definitely looked like a flash. Time for a TTL flash!

what is a TTL flash? is that strobe? I've been told to buy an external flash.

Very nice!
Is that the 4-5.6 Sigma? I have been looking at that one as well.

TTL means Through The Lense, and it's an external based flash. Such as the ones we can use, the 430EX. Check it out!

Yeah, it's the F/4-5.6 one. I was having a hard time deciding on the Canon 10-22mm F3.5 and this one, but I decided to go with this one (obviously) since the photos I saw online looked promising. It definitely made me happy with it's quality!

Hey there Jeepin Girl. Are you Gray's girlfriend? That's so cool that you allow him to photograph you. It's so much better when you have willing subjects! It's no fun trying to hogtie someone while you are taking a shot. heheheheh
