Supposed to be nice and I finally have some time. Working two jobs and getting the jeep ready for Moab was killing me.

Going to brew up my IPA on Saturday. Only problem is, I don't have any homebrew to drink at the same time. Going to have to go with Store Bought. :(

Anyway, brewing another IPA this weekend for the Mt. Sun Comp, made one last weekend too but instead of adding 8z of hops, I added 16oz...i think I will attribute that to 4/20...

I am up here in Boulder as well, if you ever want someone to drink some homebrew let me know. 10 years on the commercial side of brewing (very little brewing, sales).

PS you should see my cellar.

Sounds good man, I need to get out of my house more, my new tenant is a PITA and is parked on the couch from 5:30pm until god knows when pretty much every night. Where in Boulder are you, I am limited to two wheeled transport for another month or so due to a little 'incident'.

edit: Just saw near trango...not too bad, never been to his place, only know it my the giant duece and a half in front of it.

Have to work...

Didn't get to brew last weekend either. :(

But, I may try this weekend, we'll see. I would like to get my IPA done before summer is over, get my Imperial and maybe an Octoberfest style done and ready for this fall/winter.

I think I would like to try and brew my Belgian Ale again and let it sit for next year and try and try and get it entered into a comp or two.

Did you try any of the beers I gave you yet?

Not yet. Are they ready? If so, I'll drink something this weekend.

The 16's all seem ok. The 22's are taking longer...

Isn't that how it always goes? I can wait... Did you try my Belgians yet? Serve them at about 50-55*, and don't uncap them until they're at that temp. Best flavor at that range- everything comes together for that beer's best. Colder and you'll miss a lot, warmer and the alchohol comes to the forefront.

We had them in Moab. Very good. The darker of the two was liked the best by everyone, myself included. Not sure what temp we served at, but I poured them into shallow wide mouth glasses and let them sit for about 10 minutes. Very good!

Was this a raison de extrea(sic) clone from DFH?

I brewed up my first attempt at a DFH 90 min clone on Thursday. Got some high hopes for that one. Even the sweet wort tasted good to me.

Maybe if I've got the time I'll get a Heffe underway tomorrow. Good warm weather beer and it's ready in 2-3 weeks tops!

No. It was my own recipe based on some recommendations from Tomme Arthur. DFH and Sam Calagione are selling out to commercialism and inflated price point. :D
