Boulder Strong Ale Fest

Wife and I will be there. Anyone else going? They raised the price by $5 this year. $25 per entry. 16 tickets good for a 2oz pour. Additional tix are $1 each. Harpo's Sports Bar on Arapahoe. It's tomorrow evening and Saturday. We're going to the Saturday sesson, which is from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. Every beer there must be a minimum of 8% abv. There will be some outstanding beers from some great breweries at the fest.

It was a great time, with a lot of great beers and a bunch of people who love good beer. There were a few beers that made me happy to only have a two oz pour, due to either excessive sweetness (maltiness) or severe alcohol heat. Mostly, though, there were a lot of beers that were just plain tasty.

Wish I could have gone. But work called.

Anyway, hold onto those Belgians. They are finally starting to carb. It was "suggested" that I might have a medal winner with that one.

I am going to let them sit for another month before I crack the next one. The last I had, that was starting to finally carb tasted a whole lot different then the one I had before that and while it was still a little flat.

I had a great time there on friday too, tasted some amazing beers, also tasted a couple terrible ones, well, one really, Avery's Samale (sp?) tasted like is was contaminated.
