Finally... Got to bottle my Belgian Golden Strong. It is diffenently a flavor I have never had before. Will be ready in two weeks, or at least conditioned for two weeks anyway. Everyone I talk to says, Golden Strongs are much better young. We'll see...

Going to enter it into the BJCP comp in April along with my American Blonde!

Maybe we can have a tasting the weekend of April 22nd?

ABV = 9.5% Think I nailed what I was after...

I have 12 of those sitting in my crawl space waiting for this coming Thanksgiving! I know it has tasted different each time I had one...

Cool, it has been in my beer cooler since you hooked me up. I may wait until the fall as well.

On a different note; your "cellar" how is the temp flucation? I am fortnuate that my "cellar" stays cool.

My basement stays at 65 in the summer and drops to 60 in the winter. My crawlspace is steady 50-55 in the winter. I am not sure what my summer temps will be in there. It is fully insulted and 3' below grade. So I am hoping pretty close to my basement temps in the summer.

Wow, this is a very unique beer if I can so. But the color is off I think. More brown then gold. The alcohol is present in the flavor, but not over the top. Strong (to me) banana esther. I can't quantify the flavor at all since I have never had anything like it before. They are carbing up nicely and will be ready next week. But I think this one that needs some more time to settle down. Raw is one way I would describe it.

I plan to take a bottle to TBH next Tuesday and pass it around if anyone is interested in trying it.

I wish I worked day shift so I could go to TBH and other club meetings in the evening. Bring your Golden Strong, and see what people think. Enter it into the NHC and see what happens.
