OK, you win your choice of Supercar.
What do you choose?
I'm thinking Saleen S7. 200MPH, 0-60 under 3 seconds. And the looks are FO' SHIZZLE.
Cost: around 400K or so.

Say no to the saleen s7. I work at a dealer for those and it was in the shop broken more than it was out driving around. The bugatti we had was pretty awsome. We had to replace the seats, and at 7g's a piece. But other than that they had no problems that I was aware of.

I like the note on the Z600- actual RWHP number.
Stock Z06 is 500 crank.
Say 15% or so for losses, and this Hennessey is around 710HP @ crank.
Bad-ass. Also interesting is the top speed number- with 200 extra ponies, it only gets you about 10MPH on the top end over stock. Few realize how much additional power it takes to get from 200 to 210.

How about a Dauer 962?
http://www.fastcoolcars.com/962_dauer.htm
OK. If I had to live with a supercar as an only car, it would be a 911 Turbo with AWD. It has all season capability and limited back seat (better than most with only two seats).
Outside of the a C-GT, probably after it saw Ruf for a power upgrade. Needs two turbos added because it doesn't have much power...
Now a 911GT1 Stasse wouldn't be bad either. I have only seen one 911 GT1 Strasse (and it was on the street).
Of coarse the Duaer 962 is one hot ride. They hit the far side of 250mph...

If I wanted a Bugatti with four turbos, I'd be much more likely to go for an EB110. Now that was a sweet car. Sorry, the Veyron is just too low-budget-80s-movie-trying-to-mock-up-a-future-car looking to me.

Ford GT 0-60 3.3 seconds. 211 mph top speed. 3yr 36000 mile warranty with roadside assistance.
On top of that,it is based on a 40 year old design. To me, nothing is close in the price range.
If anyone would like to ty out several of the world's supercars, check out WCdriving.com. I did it last year in Vail, and drove an F430, 360 Modena, Lambo Gallardo, Bentley Continental, Z06, a Porsche, and a handful of others. It was $895 and you drove up to 8 different cars for an hour each. The price went up and the selection went down, but it was a totally awesome experience.

It's more than double the price of a Vette at nearly $162,195!!:eek:
Is only 7mph faster, and .3 seconds faster from 0-60mph!
Hands down the Vette is a steal at $70,000!

the Vette is a great buy for the $$ that is true
The GT is a mid engine car with a 6 speed transaxle, hardly in the same class as the Vette, go sit in both and then you will see where the extra $$$ comes from

410- nice to see a Ford guy giving the Vette props!
My dad has owned Vettes continuously for 50 years. He got his first, a 56 out of a junkyard in 1956 when he was in college- it had been rolled. He's owned them ever since, and got a new 2006 C6 last year.
So I am a Vette fan- huge. I can say that the C6 is the best Vette they have ever made- like by an order of magnitude. It is an amazing car in every way. Pops gets 28MPG with cruise control set on 78MPH.
400 horses (his is the regular, not Z06), paddle shift, and it rides incredibly well. I've also been in the new C6 Z06. Sick car. Neither can be touched for the money.
New new stang looks killer. I'd like to check one out up close.

For a realistic car the "new" Challenger looks interesting.
That Bugatti looks beautiful to me. It looks elegant as well as fast. Too many of the new Supercars look like wegdes made out of plastic and composit materials-the new Lambo comes to mind as an example.
If I had that kind of money though I would be buying older muscle cars instead and I would want a 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Baritz convertable in red. I could drive to heaven in that car and be buried in it.

I agree with Joker that hands down the new Z06 is the most bang for the buck. I have always loved Corvettes and currently own 3 of them. However, park the two of them side by side and see if anyone even notices the Z06. If you ever drive them both you will soon know which one is the true supercar.

Read the link I provided in the other post. They test drove the GT, Vette and Viper. It's actually a very fair evaluation. It was even linked on the Ford GT website.
The Vette is just as much as a "Supercar" as the GT. The only thing it is far better at is the styling...as you stated.
Give me the other $70k I save by buying the Vette and I'll make that GT look like a "Superslowcar"!:D

how many 1100 HP stock engine, computer, fuel delivery, MAS and ignition Vette's are out there? I am curious because I dont know.
All I know is because the car is boosted already and it takes to boost so well, I am not sure anything can touch this thing on the road once converted to twin turbo. All they did was remote mount and install two garret snails, they retained the factory intercooler, and built a custom intake, an SCT tuner, huge throttle body and SCT MAS was used to dyno the combo and max the power.
Thats damn impressive, and its driveable and reliable.
I know there are boosted Vette's out there anyone have links?
