Was over at SW yesterday and picked up some .45, .223 and a box of 9.
I can't seem to find any decent prices on .223 these days.
I can get the Wolf stuff at ammoman for 200 per 1000, but I hate using that stuff.
I paid 120 for 500 yesterday and then got a 10 percent discount.

Anyone have any other places to get deals on .45 or .223 plinking ammo?
I don't mind paying the good money for the stuff that I use in my carry guns but this seems excessive.

You can sometimes find bulk deals at various online/catalog places. I quit dealing with it years ago and started reloading...much cheaper.

That place that took over Gart brothers, not sure of the name has pretty decent prices. Picked a couple boxes of 9mm for 8.99 each.

for the 45, the best place I have found is Wal Mart. 45 is like $22 per 100, 40 is $18, and 9 is 15. These are rough numbers, because I usually try to not to look at the price when I buy.

online or walmart is where I get mine.
For current .223 prices check Ammo prices on ar15.com (http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=16&t=222888)

walmart... I buy a ton of 9mm and buy the WWB 100 packs at wally world... usually I hit 3 or 4 and clean them out when in need.
Bummer the price is up to 14.57 a box though.

SW has some good prices on bulk. Scoutkid sells ammo at the gun shows.
