I have been looking at the HK P2000sk in .40 cal. for the past few weeks. great Gun, but alot of $$$. So i showed a friend who was looking at some glock's and a week later he went out and bought the P2000 .40 cal(not sub compact). So went to firing line and shot it on Sunday. Have to say it is a sweet gun. Very acurate and the Decock feature is pretty nice. Also a safe gun for carry. Also shot some .38 rounds and of course the Ruger Mark I for the long shots. Then i saw a guy next to us shooting the Sk in 9mm also shot amazing. I think i found what im buying but ouch on the P2000SK .40 cal price tag $800. I think it will be a great gun for Daily carry.

The other fun about the trip was showing the GF how to shoot. Of course me being a gun fan she decided to join the fun and learn. Going To Firing Line in Aurora can be pretty overwhelming as a newbie. But she jumped right in and plinked a couple of the .22 out of the Mark I and a small i think Walther .22. The ol' mark I was a little heavy but she did really well. After leaving she said she felt better knowing how to handle a gun and had a pretty good time. The other day i picked her up one of these bad boys http://www.kimberamerica.com/press/2006-kimber-launches-pair-of-powerful-non-lethal-self-defense-tools.php The gaurdian Angel. Pretty sweet tool and i just want to buy one to see how well it works(taking applications). But pretty expensive 2 shot toy at $40. But recomend it for some non lethal PD. Anyway thought i would give you something to read.
