This forum is for discussion of firearms, bow hunting, target shooting, re-loading, concealed carry questions, etc.

If it has a trigger and it isn't a camera, then this is probably the right forum.

ALL NON-RELATED POSTS WILL BE DELETED

As with all of the forums on this site, this forum needs to be contained within the rules that Eric has established. There will be no exceptions.

I am the Moderator for this forum, so if there is a problem please PM me.

Recently I have been in contact with one of the Full Fledged Moderators and we have come to a mutual consensus that the Firing Range forum will be more flexible in regards to content than other forums.

What this means to you.
Posts that contain information about pricing will be allowed to some extent. If this gets abused, or there are excessive amounts (spam) it will be put to a stop.

That'll actually be a nice thing when some of those sales do come up and someone wants to alert the rest of us. :)

Just a note: Jason has gone back to school and is not really around here any more; for any moderator-type duties in here, I'll handle things as needed at least for the time being.

So just to clarify, are For Sale ads (firearm related) ok? Or should those only be posted in the classifieds section.

I only ask because, I have a weapon for sale in the classifieds section, but also see ads in here...

X2 I have a couple of weapons for sale in here. If not there should be a firearms classified section.

There is...Powersports and Sports Equipment ;)

Since classifieds are not allowed in other areas of the forum except for classifieds, i dont think this area should be any different. We do have a classifieds section for a reason.

Thats the first time I have even looked in that section. From the title one would never think there would be firearms for sale in it. More like tennis rackets and golf clubs.:shrug::flipoff2:

You would go to a "Sporting Goods" store quite often to look at guns, would you not? Id say a gun is a tool used in a sport which qualifies it as equipment. :shrug:

I didnt name the thing...if youve got a complaint about it, take it up with Eric... :flipoff2:

Don't care either way....if it gets deleted so be it.....plenty of other sites to post it. The rules for this section need to specify if classified ads are allowed

As for "why no gun classifieds", A) Powersports & Sports Equipment doesn't exactly move real fast. There's rarely even a full page of ads in there anyway. B) Guns are generically "sporting goods". C) If we have multiple gun related stuff forums, various work filters will get the idea that CO4x4 is a "gun board", and will then block access to it for many of our members. Same deal with porn--have porn scattered all over, you're a porn site, and blocked at work.
