This is a very nice top and now I won't have to worry about my windows anymore. They just fold up on top like a sandwich, the rear section is 2 layers.

Fold up the top layer and then the rear window into it

The top layer back over

It becomes sort of a bikini top

You're telling me. I paid for half of it when I ordered in April but I do think it was worth the wait. I had a chance at a pre-production unit in light tint but passed on it in April as they said the dark tint would be out a few weeks later.

Had I known...... especially when they said they'd give me dark tint when they were released but I chose to wait a few more weeks and let someone who wanted a light tint get one.

Let us know how it holds water out right behind the windshield. That's where my Bestop safari top leaks a bit. Right where the velcro and folds are.

How is theirs designed in that spot? Also, what about noise? I've heard it's quiet but you never know who's a salesman and who isn't when you read it on a message board.

Thanks.

I told you that you would want one Matt. :D

I really want one but since my top is in pretty good shape I don't know if I can justify it. I guess I could sell my current top.

I don't really see it letting water in there unless you spray water from the carwash into that area. Its very similar to the stock top there.

I can't hear anything over the tires
I think there is a bit more noise than a stock top in that same area but I'm going to adjust the top and bestop header as its not perfectly centered.

Rockgear is out of business. And yes, this top is extremely similar to the Rockgear design. Is it offered with soft doors? I would like more info.

Sean, I'm happy so far.

The top does not come with soft doors. Just go to best top and buy a set...

I've always heard that you couldn't goto Bestop in Broomfield and buy parts... that you had to goto a distributor?

Got to see the top in person lastnight... it's a really slick setup! I definitely like it a lot better than a standard OEM or Bestop soft top. It's going to be the route I go in the spring.

I meant to say just buy the best top doors, summit has the best prices,, even my prefered vendor told me to go the summit route since he couldn't compete with their pricing.

Am I reading correctly that its only $595? Thats cheap compared to bestop.

Ah, i just saw that it has practically no hardware...probably makes up the diff in price. Still interesting though.

Anybody sat in the back seat with one on. Does it make it seem even smaller?

Guammy

Price for the TJ top is $595 with Free Shipping through December 2006. TJ tops can be purchased on this website or they can be purchased through our dealers listed below.
------------------------------------------
I think it's pretty cheap,, but you do need a BestTop style no drill header.

I don't have a back seat so I can't help you there.. I have read that its not horrible.

There are a couple of threads here but you'll have to sign up to read them.
They will answer any questions you have.

I would also have to buy some door surrounds. But I really like the look of it. Tax return.....hmmm :D

Do the rear straps flap against the top while driving and how does it look with the windows up? Is the hump in the center ugly?
