Exhaust paint, Caswell coatings

I thought I'd share my experience with the header paint I purchased.

I got the 12 oz can of Black Satin header coating and it covered the entire exhaust which consists of 2 LONG v8 headers, a crossover tube and duals all the way out the back.

I followed the instructions and sand blasted everything, wiped everything down with paint thinner and used an air brush to paint with.

After almost 1 year of use, the exhaust still looks great :thumbsup:
I didn't take any temperature readings before or after, but at least the tubes still look good.

Looks like a good option wheather or not it keeps things cooler. Do you have to sandblast, or can you hand sand things?

No idea, they recommended sandblasting to "open up the pores of the steel" to allow for a better "bite"

Edit:
I used my HF special sand blaster.
I got "play sand" from HD and screen the big rocks out of it using a window screen from the garage window
