We're releasing the 97-02 TJ kits effective 15 Nov 2006. Alot has changed for the better since you all saw the prototype kit here: http://www.colorado4x4.org/vbb/showthread.php?t=37225

First off, it's still the same basic kit. Still rides and drives like nothing you have experienced on a TJ before. The changes were made to make the kits more user friendly and to give you some bonus items not available before. We have taken the headache out of building a Custom suspension for your TJ by giving you the first Modular Suspension System available anywhere.

We start off with a one piece belly pan. There is no substitute for the strength gained by using a solid belly pan, there are no bolt together joints/flanges to deform or fail, no bolt on or weld on suspension mounts hanging in the weeds (rocks) to fail. It's .250" plate CNC cut and formed, with internal ribbing and bracing. It is by far the stoutest pan out there.
What we did do, and this is the substatial change in design, is seperate the rear suspension mounts into a seperate crossmember (Xmbr). The new Xmbr bolts to the back of the XD Belly Pan through a formed 1.25" tall flange with 5 grade 8 fasteners. You'll find this flange on the back of the XD Belly Pan and the front of the XD Xmbr. Do the math, that gives you a 1/2" thick rib running across the width of the Jeep. Try and deform that. :) The XD Xmbr also bolts to the bottom of the frame, we supply you 4 weld in bungs that install easily into the bottom of the frame. Once you have the XD Pan and XD Xmbr intsalled you will have the system attatched to the bottom of the frame with 10 - 1/2" X 1.25" grade 8 bolts.
Not enough for you? Good because we also supply an upper internal bracing system that bolts the XD Pan and XD Xmbr to the frame. The forward upper braces use 2 through frame crush sleeve assemblies with 1/2" x 4" bolts per brace and a 5/8" X 1" bolt that attaches the brace to the XD Pan. For the XD Xmbr a similar system is used, the difference being that the rear upper braces are also the rear upper control arm mounts. With the rear upper braces/rear upper control arm mounts being a bolt in, we have achieved the second major design change of our kit/system. The rear suspension is of a modular design. You pick what you want! We have 2 systems available.

First is the Inverted 4-Link rear suspesnsion. This kit when combined with our Y-Link front suspension gives:
- 99% bolt-on install (4 weld in bungs must be installed in the frame)
- total high clearance. All lower control arm mounts are frenched into the belly pan system. No lower control arm mounts hanging off the bottom of the frame to get hung on.
- triangulated rear suspension.

In this design we use triangulated lowers to:
-eliminate the rear trackbar
-keep the lower control arm mounts off the bottom of the frame the mounts are frenched into the center of the XD Xmbr
- protect the rear drive shaft
The upper rear control arms mount to the factory upper control arm mounts on your existing diff and to our XD Xmbr.

Second is our premier kit, the Dual Triangulated 4-Link rear suspension. This is truely the best rear long arm suspension available for your TJ. This kit does require welding to install. The rear truss assy supplied in this kit gives you the mounts for the triangulated upper control arms. Again not compramising strength we have designed this truss to be a weld in piece. This gives you a solid dependable mount for the upper control arms that won't move or block access to the diff cover. It also bolsters/fortifies your rear axle housing. This kit when combined with our Y-Link front suspension gives:
- the flattest roll center of any long arm kit
- total high clearance. All lower control arm mounts are frenched into the belly pan system. No lower control arm mounts hanging off the bottom of the frame to get hung on.
- dual triangulated rear suspension.
- trusses are available to fit the D35, D44, F8.8 and F9 (D60 and 14b coming)

Does your head hurt yet? :) If all of that isn't enough for you then we can offer you a High Clearance (HC) XD Belly Pan and XD Xmbr system to compliment the kit. Our standard pan nets you a 1/2" of ground clearance as compared to the factory skid plate. The HC system nets you 1.50" of ground clearance as compared to the factory skid plate. The HC system does require a 1" body lift and 1" motor lift to be installed prior to the installation of our HC kit. We also have an Upgrade kit available to upgrade an Inverted 4 Link to a Dual triangulated. The kit includes new rear upper control arm mounts, the truss assy., and the parts required to convert your upper control arms.

All arms both front and rear upper/lower have 2.5" of adjustment in them. Want to alter the wheel base? Go ahead! All lower arms are made of 1.75" X .250" DOM all upper arms are made of 1.50" X .250" DOM. All fasteners are Grade 5 or better. The kits will ship as Upgrades to start, you get the XD Belly Pan system, all control arms, brackets and hardware. Systems are being developed to include springs, brakelines, bumpstops, etc.

There it is in a nutshell. The first modular suspension system available for the Jeep Wrangler TJ.

The 97-02 Y-Link w/Inverted 4-Link rear Upgrade starts at $1,795.95

The 97-02 Y-Link w/Dual triangulated rear Upgrade starts at $2,069.95

03-06 TJ kits are being finalized now, we expect the release date to be late December. With the complexity of these kits and with their modular nature kits will be built to order to fit the customers specific needs. Orders are now being accepted, a 50% deposit is required and will be charged at the time of order. The balance to be charged when the kit is ready to ship.

Jobber and stocking vendor programs are available.

When you compare the production kits to anything else on the market you'll find the wait was worth it.

Thanks, Bob

Holy ballz batman! That 9" looks so bad ass! The low profile belly pan looks amazing too. I like the fact that the crossmember is no longer attached to the pan. Can the pan now be removed without taking the arms off?

Glad you found your way over here. You'll find Bob has a really good reputation on this board. Like I said, if I was looking to change my suspension, this is where I would start looking.

Here is the link to the original thread about the prototype. http://www.colorado4x4.org/vbb/showthread.php?t=37225 That might help with some questions. T. Dome. Any more just shoot me a PM or call Bob at T&T Customs.

I do wish that the front arms, on all of TnT's products, had a seperate crossmemeber like these rears. That's the only dislike about this kit. Don't get me wrong, I'm still buying one :D , it's just a wish list sorta thing.....

We use a combination of large flex joints, and Rubicon Express super flex and super ride joints. The large flex joints are actually not Rubicon Express but another manufacturer which as improved the design to use nylatron injection molded races around the flex ball. Using these in place of the uhmw races improves the race life for no cost difference.

As for serviceability, all of the joints have rebuild kits and components that are readily available through us or many other vendors. Basically keep 'em greased and check to make sure they're tight and you're golden for quite some time.

HP D44 truss came out about 3 weeks ago. Pricing is exactly the same as the D30 truss. It's available in the truss alone, with uca mounts only already installed, and as a complete install kit. Should make diff swaps extremely easy and fast now. I don't have my price sheet with me at the moment so I recommend calling the shop for a quote - 307-775-9565.

Greg, they can be shipped. In fact we just sent a pallet of them to Australia. If you'd like to send me an email at sales@tntcustoms.com we'll see what we can work out.

I picked my Front HP 44 Truss set up last week. The quality of the kit awesome. It makes for an easy axle swap. Basically no measuring needed to get all the brackets located to the correct position. Just have to set pinion angle and just put a level on everything else. If you are going to run a HP Dana 44 for the front of a XJ, ZJ, or TJ this is the way to go. I shortened my HP44 by 4.9 inches to match a waggy width. (I shortened both sides the same 2.45" and there is plenty of room for this kit. So if you go full width or decide to shorten it, this kit will fit perfectly. Thanks again Bob and Matt:thumbsup:
