I know there are some MSCD/CCD/CUD students on here as well as lacrosse fans.

Saturday in Thornton MSCD mens lacrosse defeted Western State (14-4), UNC (5-4 DOT), and Crybaby Sally (Denver Men's team, 6-4 OT) to win the Trick or Treat Shootout!

3rd Northern Colorado (#9 in the MDIA B div. nationally last spring)
4th Fort Lewis (#11 in the MDIA B div. nationally last spring)

That's pretty sweet! Maybe the school will pony up and give you some money for uniforms! No wait, the baseball and basketball clubs get all the money, nevermind.

Yeah, we are buying our own stuff. Trying to find sponsors to cut out of pocket costs. I would rather the school let us use the field before they give us money. Its not too supprising that the NCAA teams are funded better but I am supprised by how little support non NCAA club sports get; Essentially NONE! Less than every other public CO school with a team. With the right school support we could make the jump to Div A and play CU, CSU, and BYU in our league. Right now we cannot even enter the RMLC until we have a field.

FWIW, we will be playing during the half of this Sundays Mammoth Maroon and White game (see this weeks westword around pg 6) Game and Parking is FREE! Starts at 6pm

BTW I am from Philly and my HS did not have Varsity LAX. As a matter of fact the PIAA just approved lacrosse as a HS sport last month. Concidering that >1500 showed up at the game last night, the Mammoth won the Championship last year, and the Outlaws set the all league attendance record at their first game I think it is safe to say that lacrosse is growing here, quickly.

Since nobody supports lacrosse west of the miss should I assume you are ignorant about what is really happening in the Lacrosse world?

Well, the season is going well, we are 2-1 With W over UCCS and Western State and a L to Montana.

Next game this Thursday @ 7pm at Mines in Golden.
