Guammy (Don), TrailTJ (Tim), and ourselves ran Holy Cross on July 8th with pouring rain all day. We still had a great time. Everybody did well and we had no problems. Nice job Don on the right line in French Creek and Tim for making it through every obsticle, even French Creek, on 32's and open in the front. Once again we did not get any pictures of us at French Creek. If you guys got any of us at the creek can we get a copy?

Great photos. We came up behind you- I was in the red TJ you squeezed past on your way down, near the city- we were headed up. Holy Cross is such a great trail. We left Denver at 6AM, ran the trail with no problems, and were home by 5PM. Fun wheeling in the pouring rain. It made a few of the obstacles pretty challenging.

Thanks TubeWerx, don't forget Tim did a great job driving on a basically stock TJ and took no straps, that and good spotting from Tom.
Glad you made it home OK after that tie rod bend.
Oh forgot the rest of the pics are here

Nice pix! Glad I got that tie rod from you when I did Don; sounds like you might have had a buyer seeing that bent tie rod in the pix.
What a pain it was adjusting the length to set my toe-in. It tooks lots of penetrating oil and heat to get the ends to turn, and then I could only get one free. I can take the simplest job and stretch it into hours of work.
And Tom, I left the axles home last weekend because we were going on an easy trail. Who would have thought that one of the Rubicons with us would snap a u-joint and booger up the yoke on Jenny Creek? They go everywhere with me now.
Anyway, thanks for the parts and hope to see you on the trail sometime soon.

Now that's service after the sale! Thanks, but it's my turn to buy the Guinness though.
If you had a shop do the alignment, perhaps they thought those big ol' nuts had to be torqued to about 200 ft-lbs? I should have used anti-seize after I got it free.

I saw you guys headed down when we were near the top eating lunch. Dave waved at you but I don't think you saw us. The trail was a lot more interesting than the last time we were up there! It was a wet, slick, sloppy mess so there were no boring spots. We ended up with 2 of our group having to pull out the winches on French Creek (it was Dave's turn to drive:eek: ) but all in all it was a good trip for us too. I'll post pictures when I get a chance.

What line was taken at the rock before Cleveland Rock (the off camber one)? Left or right?

I went to the left the best I could in the rain. I tried to stay up on the rock on the left but the rain was coming down pretty hard so I basically slid off and had to drag the rear diff over the rock in the middle.
