WOW! What a great time! We met up with Oscar (his real name is Curtis) at the appointed place and time and all of the the other folks that claim to be wheelers from Colorado Springs were still in bed snoozin?.:flipoff2:
It rained on us all the way to the trail head and continued to rain until we got back down. Going up Hwy24 toward Wilkerson Pass?

Oscar and I arrived first and we were soon joined by ZJRick and his family. His lifted locked, and chopped ZJ was soon off the trailer and ready for action.

We were soon joined by TonesXJ (Tony), Big.XJFlames (Aaron) and Formatt (Matt of Format Fabrications fame)?..but Matt was Jeep-less on this run.

We let a large group from Colorado Go-4?s go ahead of us and we proceeded to slip, slide and crawl our way to the top.

No one got severely stuck, but we had our share of sliding off of the intended line and having to take a run or two at some of the obstacles. The V-Notch in a steady rain is not for the faint hearted.

The trail was drenched, puddles everywhere. I swear I felt like I was driving through a creek instead of on a four wheel drive trail.

I didn?t get a bunch of pictures simply because of the rain?sorry folks. We did take some video, I?ll try to get it posted this evening or tomorrow morning.

All in all we had a fantastic trip, despite the weather. A great trail and a great bunch of people! I hope to see you all on another ride this summer.

Big thanks to Frank and clan. Had a ball, Tyler and Samson are recovering. But I could have sworn I saw a guy named Noah and his boat today. I almost thought I was back in Washington with the rain.

Well the audio was so bad that I had to dub over it. The rain hitting the umbrella my daughter was holding was amazingly loud. New Camera too, still gotta figure out all the bells and whistles.

Great day up there! It was nice seeing you and your family, Frank, as well as meeting the others!. I can't believe how many fish your boy caught..showing all of us up:) I didn't get pics this go around, thanks for posting yours! See you next Sunday.

I am sorry Frank but that video just isn't the same without your daughters commentary.
Is that a "purple" umbrella, I don't have one of those.....yet!!! LOL

With some spotting I think you'd do just fine. I'd strongly recommend rocker protection before attempting the trail though...especially after the rain we had up there yesterday.

Nice pics Frank! I had fun wheeling with all of ya! We will have to go again soon. I really liked those videos. Especially of the V-notch. That was some serious sky action! :D

O...and thanks for waiting up for me at the start. I needto do something about that driveshaft up front.

Yeah, despite all the rain, I was sure glad we went and we all had a ball. The family was soaked, but still a great time. It was nice meeting everyone and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I took some pics of everyone's rigs and the scenery parked at the top. I'll get those posted soon.
