That was me with the Xota. One of several mechanical problems I had that day.

I figured sooner or later i'd bust an axle on the Dana35, so I carried spares.

Thanks to Ryan, Eric, Jeff and Chris for your help and patience. Fellow wheelers who stick around to make sure everyone gets off the trail are the.......

Dude, No worries. Glad it drove fine on the hwy. Good day over all. It was fun getting the open diff people through the trail. I am a little disapointed that I got denied the hard lines. I thought this year would be different since i removed the fenders and have more travel in the front now.

Yeah but the only reason you got denied is because we couldn't find a way to keep your driveshafts off the rocks.

I think the rock garden is alot harder this year, more dug out.

Thanks for helping spot my buddy and I through the rock garden yesterday. We were in the white XJ and the blue Liberty. We definately got a workout on that trail yesterday, but that was our first time up there. There were two other Libertys with us, but they turned around a ways back, which was a good thing, because they weren't built like the blue KJ. We ended up getting lost for a couple of hours since the guys that we left behind had the maps (DOH!). But, we had a great time. The blue liberty was the only rig in our group to walk right up the wall on the second attempt. I tried multiple times, and turned around with my tail between my legs.

Did you guys happen to see a brand new, dealer temp tags still in the window, FJ40 come up that way?

Yep, I even got a picture of the FJ. Pretty crazy. I was impressed with that Libby. It did pretty good.

Yea we saw you guys at the Starbucks - we were the guys going to Bill Moore. I wondered about them Libbys when you told us you were going to Spring Creek.

It was a learning experience. It was a lot of fun for them anyways up to the point they turned around. It was that left turn up the hill that had the first big boulders at the bottom were they stopped. They walked up everything else to that point, and the blue KJ walked up most everything else without much trouble. Even made me look bad on the first wall obstacle. I wheel with a group of KJ's just about everyother weekend. Their IFS is an obstacle in itself, but they don't get enough credit for trying, which keeps a lot of them off the trails. I like wheeling with them because it's nice to have a challenge once in awhile, and to hear their excitement when they do conquer an obstacle or trail makes it worth it.

The IFS allowed us to spot the KJ & FJ up lines that I wouldn't take since the IFS guys don't have a diff hanging down to worry about...It helps if you can't take a line keeping your tires high enough.

Was it an FJ 40 or a new FJ Cruiser?

I'd like to see an FJ Cruiser with a good lift and 35's. With all of the Toyota nuts out there it won't be long before we see a SAS FJ Cruiser either I'm guessing. They sure are pushing the new FJ Cruiser in the 4wd mags with their ads and inserts. Still can't take the top off one though.....too bad.

Wow, thats gutsy taking a brand new one up Spring Creek. Last year we followed a brand new Ford F-150 shortbed standard cab (still had the temp tag in the rear window) up Spring Creek. It was having a hard time for sure and had to be pulled off quite a few obsticles, and it sits a bit higher than a new FJ.
Still can't wait to see one all modded up though.
