Jerry: Do you diagnose DW? I've gotten rid of all improper movement that I can detect, just had the tires rebalanced, and it keeps getting worse.
components participating in the DW:
2005 LJ Rubi
33x9.5-15 on used centerlines
3.5" RE SA valueflex
procomp adj TB(needed it in a big hurry when I couldn't drill the TB reloc)
T&T tierod.

This seems to have gone beyond my ability to detect looseness. If it is in the scope of your shop's work, I'll give more details, and if you're still willing, I'll try to limp it down there.

The alinment is 54.50 as long as the chevy is stock. We do body work, but i don't think you would be happy with my work. So i am suggesting Snyder auto body. He is on 12th and Sante Fe ave. When i get to work i will get you a phone number.

My thanks to Astro Automotive and Dave B. for the alignment on my TJ. The price was great and the 10% discount was icing on the cake. I had just put on an OME lift, along with some new 33s and had some used RE control arms I had installed last fall. I couldn't budge one of the rear upper control arms (even pulled the top off my puny workbench trying to turn the control arm with one end in the vise). Dave B. spent 2 hours plus on the alignment and freeing the control arm so the rear pinion angle could be adjusted. No more vibes!

And for the record I bring the suck trying to set caster using an angle finder and setting toe-in using a tape measure. I was so far off I was ashamed when Dave put it on the machine.

It's refreshing to see that the old-fashioned, do-it-all garage with reasonable prices still exists. Thanks Dave!

What are you guys charging for a diagnosis. i've got some vibs on my 00 TJ and I need to know what I should do first.

On something like that, it depends on how long we spend on the Jeep. We don't have a set price for checking it out. That said, i doubt that we would spend more than an hour in which we charge $85.

Depending on your "type" of vibes, you might want to start with tire balance and rotate. These usually take care of 80% of the vibes. Another 10% is in driveshafts. The last 5% is misc. stuff.

We can certainly balance your tires with "stick on" weights. Just out of curiosity, are the weights coming off because of rocks or are they just not staying on because of the rim?

A front end alignment is $56.50. $86.50 if you have adjustable control arms and/or adjustable track bar that needs adjusting. The front end check is part of an alignment.
