I haven't bought one yet or really paid that much attention to them. What is the "one" to get? Gen 4 I guess? The body type really doesn't matter to me.

At this point you need to get wht you can find. They are pretty scarce right now. The 7 that were at the Wally by me were the first Jeeps I have seen in about 6 months.

I now have 3 Scorps and 1 Jeep. May pick up another Jeep tonight if they are still there.

Just picked one up at quincy and wads. $50 and charging right now. How do I tell what generation I got and what are the differences? Anyone else have the urge to paint it to match their real heep or am I just strange???

Go to WalMart (or whatever other store). Get cans of Fusion paint specifically for plastics. Go nuts.

Mine is apart and will be painted this weekend.

A friend of mine painted his Scorpion, silver for the diamond plate and blue for the roll cage. He painted his wife's Jeep pink. For his in-laws' Jeep, he did a red/black/tan/white cammo job to match their YJ. They all came out really well.

I'm still tossing around a couple ideas for my Jeep.

The wal mart in Montrose had one this morning, now all they have left is a yellow scorpion, but the Jeep makes a good addition to our RC collection. And the red scorpion is cool.

I was wondering that myself, but for $49 I don't really care. I'm hoping that my son and I can have some fun with them in the yard and maybe in the fields around our house.

I would be curious to find out what I actually bought though.

Not true, Target, and etoys are both going to be selling them for $200.

Lastweek I shipped one to Sweden, the guy wanted it in 5 days, cost him $137 in shipping alone. Yea it was a gen 1.

BTW I still have my original 1st generation Jeep that was the first one in the Denver area. It is still running strong and gets used plenty.

If you drive it like a $200 walmart rockcrawler they do great. If you drive it like a $1500 comp crawler of course it's gonna break.

Same reason I don't drive my Expedition the same way I drive the buggy.

Colfax and Wads - it was 1/18th though, that's the small one. Those things climb pretty good too, but it has to be smaller stuff.
