Daniel and I waited at Home Depot till 9:20 and set out on our own. I didn't give a lot of notice so I wasn't surprised that no one else made it.

We spotted a couple of deer on the way up...

Stopped for the typical Poser shot...

We met Glenn from the Penrose Dirty Dogs as he was hiking the trail with his son Ian on his back. We chatted about the trail conditions and the rolled XJ that had been left on the trail earlier in the week. Happy to report that it's no longer there.

We didn't stop for many pics and we had the trail to ourselves until after lunch. We reached the meadow, took a little break and then headed down the same way we came up. We saw one other Jeep heading up the trail and came across a couple of Scouts a little farther down. A tan Scout (topless) was trying to pull a red hardtop up the trail, he stalled due to fuel system issues (If I understood correctly). After providing winch services (FREE of CHARGE!!:D ) to get the Scout onto a flat area we continued on down.

We did note "No Fire" signs all over the place, but it was obvious that some folks have been ignoring them. We didn't find any smoldering campfires..luckily.

The entire area is as dry as a popcorn fart. None of the small creeks or brooks that we normally cross had any water in them at all. It won't take much send the area up in flames. Hopefully people will start paying attention to the signs and the obviously dry conditions.

Oh, almost forgot. If you're gonna drink beer on the trail...TAKE YOUR EFFIN' EMPTIES HOME WITH YOU. We picked up some trash but gave up after noticing all the empty beer cans and bottles.

We did spring creek 3 sundays ago and I picked up every bottle and can that I saw. Everybody needs to pick up whatever they see, ya it sucks to need to do it but it will help to keep the trails open. I can't believe how much trash is left behind by the losers out there. Sure would like to catch someone in the act!! Nothing like a camera phone to really call them out in public!

Vistacruiser and I, put out a campfire at the start of the trail on Friday morning. We had to use there "empties" to put it out. We just kept running down to the creek and filling them up. We would have picked the crap up, but neither one of us had any trash bags with us. I do have my trash bags back in the jeep for future use, though.

I took my TJ up Eagle rock with a RuBi and a couple H2's saturday. The weather was perfect and I didn't see much if any trash at all. I cant stand how people have been driving through the meadow at the end though......

This trail is fun. Nothing to tough but I definatley had a blast...
