Hoping to get the engine and atlas mounts tacked up this weekend.

Looks sweet! I love the simplicity of the chasis design.

But is that guy seriously welding without a helmet or any kind of eye protection??? :tisk:

Yea, but he had a new surgery to install extra thick eye lids.
Haven't you ever tacked something in place before welding it??

Yea Cortez is looking pretty bleak. We are having problems getting our steering parts ie. knuckles etc.. I had this whole week off to work on it but no parts means no go!!! So now I'm back at work and there sits the buggy!

I'm diggin' the Range Rover idea. Can't wait to see the hood/ body panals in place! Is it a real hood that you narrowed or a fiberglass look-a-like?

It's a real hood. We cut and narrowed it.

We will have to post more pics when we get time. We are getting close just had to go a different route with a couple of products we were planning to run. Damian has been super busy in the shop so the buggy has been on the back burner for a couple of weeks.

Consider the Douche Bag punched:D

Do you work at Denver South or Denver East??? I'll have to check this truck out! Any chance your running the 4.4L out of the new Range Rover? Super light with power to boot. Just costs too much for anyone but a Land Rover Tech...

Denver South- The 4.4 would just be too much without the full backing of Land Rover. The ecu's and such or so complex it just would be a headache without three or four factory engineers on call. The dimension of the motor is also a factor but we will see in the future. Right now the buggy has a GM 6.0 (Denali, H2) about 325-345 HP!!!

You are corrrect. As far as the Stauns go...they kinda sucked to install.
But we were out jumping the buggy the other day and had not checked tire psi. When we got back to the shop we took a look. Both rear tires had about 1/2 psi in them and showed no signs of wanting to come off the rim. So so far they work like a champ. At Indy you could hear other guys with traditional beadlocks loose air in spots and we never heard anything from ours. So  for the Stauns.

Sometimes I just run it at 4000 rpm's in the shop and smile:D till I get overcome by fumes! Damian had it out on Sat, I was in Santa Barbara. The fuel psi regulator went south so his day was cut short! We got that replaced last nite....now we just need to figure out why the electric fan keeps failing!!??!!!

Did you just stick with the stocker, or upgrade to an aftermarket adjustable?

We have aftermarket (flexalite) at the motor right now and a fan in back on the trans cooler. The motor fans work fine for 10 to 20 min and then just stop. The first two fans ($30 ebay fans) burned up the motors. We checked and triple checked the wiring and relays all ok. I'm kinda thinking a bad chasis ground but???? The trans cooler fan works fine and never misses a beat, so I don't know. I 'm going to fix it tonite one way or another!

Oh sorry, I was reffering to the fuel regulator.
I noticed it was a stocker on Sat. that was letting it run rich

Are you liking the comp compound?

The size is right on. Side to side they are an inch smaller than a 42 IROCK. We are running the "mid" compound. Maxxis has 3. They are wearing very fast. I have run 5 trails and they look like my MTR"S did after 3 years. They stick pretty good, I won't say I'm amazed with them but they work. I would like to run a set of Krawlers one day and Creepy's the next on the same stuff and see. When we order more tires for next season I'm getting the full "stickies" .....but they will wear even faster!!!

Where did Terry take ya?

We warmed on on the Intimidator, ran some old ARCA stuff including the Wall of Death, then off to the Comp Area (Brown's Spring). Sunday, we hit what I think they call Cobra and Viper which are old RCAA/ARCA courses including the classic "Consumer".

Thanks, as far as the "well built" I can't say enough about it. Me and Damian spent 8 months working till 2am. We have changed very little since the day we rolled it out of the shop. We drove it around the parking lot and then hit Indy. Since then the rig has been to Moab, Indy x4, Buena x2, Farmington, Carnage Boulder, and two XRRA ROCK RACES. Damian is a great fabricator and I know a thing or two. It just turned out sweet!!!
