Nugget Hill (from Rowena; pics and VIDEO added)

Saturday, May 13th, we set off with a KJ, a WJ, a YJ, and two TJ's to explore the south side of Nugget Hill. We found it to be a great little short run up to the overlook, but had to winch the KJ and WJ a little to get over the Nugget Hill rock outcropping. We also managed to break a rear shaft on the YJ, but luckily, it was a non c-clip axle and we didn't have to do a trail swap. I managed to scratch the rear bumper on my wife's KJ on the way down, but come to think of it, that's really my spotter's fault. I'll see if I can convince her of that! :D

The link below is a good place to read a little more about it. Gillespie Gulch and the road we took from Rowena lead to the same overlook on the actual Nugget Hill. The obstacle the everyone "calls" Nugget Hill is near the insersection of the two roads and there is a lat/long placemark file (Google Earth) available for download here:

Awesome pics, but there was no need to winch the WJ:p :rolleyes: Yeah, yeah... this one's got a little less lift and tire than yours does. :) We could never get the lines right to keep the t-cases (WJ & KJ) off the rocks.
