OK, so today Wally took me up to Billings Canyon. It was a very tough trail once you got to the upper section. I had a great time. Only carnage was my busted JKS control arm (this is the 2nd one I've broken now) and added a little bent to my tie rod. Here's some pics.

for those of you thinking of running billings or have never even heard of it, i have to say this is one of the best, most clearly marked trails i've EVER seen. Again BIG THANKS TO THE BLM & Grand Mesa Jeep Club for making this trail a REALITY!!!! This is a very DEMANDING trail and even the people that meet the min requirement end up broken and not making it out. IntrepidXJ BARELY meets the min requirements, however, he has alloy/ctm shafts front and rear, some INSANE driving skills, lots of spare driveline parts, and no fear of body damage and even with all of that, he ended up taking a winch cable in a few spots and breaking some parts before getting out, but because he built his rig to handle this type of abuse we were able to make it out in just under 4 hours.

Here's the signage at the very begining warning of what is to come

About 4 hours, of course it took about an hour or so to change out the control arm, and we took our time taking lots of pics and unstaked quite a rocks :D

only way you can use that as a good excuse is if you break the shower in the correct way. ;)

LOL Once the major remodel is done we'll do that. ;)

And to keep it on topic, nice pics as always Wally.

Yes it would be nice to have a vehicle that can do that type of a trail, but then it's also nice to be able to drive home after doing a trail that you don't come back to the beginning again.

I spent more quality time in our master bathroom today. :(I'm guessing many Del Taco locations will be closed tomorrow, so you shouldn't have that problem.

:flipoff2:

j/k you'll have to post up pics of the remodel

To avoid hijack territory....Great pics as usual  .....Each Billings trip report makes me a little hungrier to get out there.

Nice pictures I'm still waiting on my stub shafts this is getting on my nerves now:rant: . It would be nice have it up and running so i could run it also in stead of looking at the pictures here and getting pissed off. I may make it by the end of the year. Anybody got some 4340 stubs for a dana 44.
