View Full Version : Poison Spyder, Superlift TV & You!

Poison Spyder customs is running our annual trail ride with Supelifts Off roads adventure TV show in March. I always invite along a fresh group of vehicles to keep it from being repetitive, and this show is no exception. This run we are looking for some full size machines, Dodge, Ford or GM, the full size description does include purple Explorers. Full size Jeeps are defiantly welcome, so Nate if your out there give me a shout. No particular model is required, however it needs to be esthetically cool and a real trail machine. Half ton trucks with chrome differential covers, a body lift and forty four inch Swampers need not apply, unless your willing to crash your truck in a ball of flames for the thrill of a thirty second spot on a TV show. The weekend is a laid back trail ride with the group numbering about twelve, and I'am looking for several machines from the Colorado board. The snow run will be both Saturday and Sunday, March 18th and 19th on the east slope. The trail will be moderate, with the snow bashing being the focus. However you must come prepared, as Colorado wheelers you know that cold and snow can take an easy trail to another level. Actual location will be divulged privately so please post or e-mail me contact information.

Requirements: need
* winch that is adequate for you vehicle weight
* recovery gear
* traction devices in both axles
* good attitude

Requirements: don't bring
* guns
* alcohol
* dogs that are not friendly or bark all the time. The barking destroys the audio, and we don't need dog fights or bights.
* additional wheel'n buddies, if you are invited, other vehicles that are not may not participate.

Superlift nor Poison Spyder is responsible for your well being, vehicle recovery, food or state of mind. So please come self reliant and totally prepared for winter wheel'n. There is also a waiver that is required outlining this and allowing the footage of your machine to be used on the show and media. Additionally, decals and logos may have to be removed to be on the show. When you submit an image of your machine to this thread, please make sure it is accurate. I will contact you if there is an issue. As an example, don't pull up with a neon green windsheild decal that says " www.XTREMEWHEELERS.com". However, Colorado4x4.org is totally cool. With all that said, it is a really good time and it is great to off road with some new personalities, and getting to participate on the show is fun. If you would like to go, please reply on this thread with questions and an image of your ride. Thank you for your interest, Clifton

The way I read it, you're looking for full size vehicles, not "little" Jeeps (CJ, YJ, TJ)? I'd be interested if CJs are welcome.

Clifton - I would be up for this. Rock Kitty maybe if I can get the new axle in.

Rk is a 98 Tj on 35's locked F&R with PS Gas skid, corner crushers, & rocker knockers.

Mine is an 03 Rubi on 35's RE long arm and you have a message at the shop about boat sides;)

Let us know if one or both can come. Both have winches, chains, & recovery gear.:bounce4: :bounce2: :bounce4: :bounce2:

I would like to go. I have a 79 j-10, not your average j-10. I drive by your shop all the time. The rig is well equipped. Not a trailer queen, built to be driven to and from the trail. The trip sounds like fun. Please let me know.

Hey Clifton are Brad and Scott coming back out to cover this? They were great in Buena Vista when they covered us, it would be awesome to see them again and I think it would be awesome to run this with you guys.

Taken just a couple weeks ago.

I would like to ride along, if anyone has any open seats let me know.

I don't know of any currently, but I will contact you if there is one available.

The way I read it, you're looking for full size vehicles, not "little" Jeeps (CJ, YJ, TJ)?

Sorry Rick, no big, medium or little Jeeps of the CJ,YJ,LJ or TJ variety. I have that covered, however if a slot becomes available I will defiantly post it. I will make an exception for any KJ's on 40's.

I'd be up for it also but I'm also driving a CJ It's got Poison Spyder Fenders and steel doors.

I appreciate that you chose Poison Spyder components, but unfortunately I currently don't have the space for a CJ.

Sounds like my DD. Stock FZJ80 with the ARB bumper/winch is perfect.l

GhettoJeep, It could be, your machine sounds unique? You'll have to let me in on the designation lingo of your ride with an image, currently I have one slot left for something Ghetto.

Can My samurai go?

I'am sure that it could make the trail, however the demographic of the show does not lean toward the Sammi world.

what about a buggie...it has the hood and grill of a cj?

I'm sure it's cool, but again looks like a CJ and not a full size.

I would be up for this. Rock Kitty maybe if I can get the new axle in.

I appreciate the offer to participate, and we always enjoy when you and Kitty drop by, but again we are full on small bodied Jeeps.

I would like to go. I have a 79 j-10, not your average j-10.

Now we're talk'n, please post an image and a contact so we can see your iron.

I have a 78 orange Cherokee w/ 401, th400,Atlas, 14 bolt/d60, detroits, bumpers, winch and 39" Krawlers. I also have a friend w/ an FJ 80 on 37" ssr's, bumpers, winch etc. I cant post pics, but can e mail them.

All these FSJ are making me vaklempt... talk amongst yourselves. Makes me miss my 4 door Waggie w/one tons, 38's and 401. OK, those rigs sound great. Please e-mail your images to tech@spydercustoms.com, and label them Superlift run.

Sounds like a good run, put me in the hat please.

It would be great to wheel with you and Rain, but same as above, we are covered on the TJ's.

Hey Clifton are Brad and Scott coming back out to cover this? They were great in Buena Vista when they covered us, it would be awesome to see them again and I think it would be awesome to run this with you guys.

Brad will be there, however Scott has left for another gig. I believe it would be great to run with you also, Brad had mentioned that your group was a good time. I will, without fail post if we can accept any additional Jeeps.

Thanks for your responses, Clifton

Clifton I would love to go but "THEEEEEE PURPLE" Explorer doesn't have a winch & I've only got a no-slip locker in the rear. (open in front). I have plenty of friends I wheel with that will pull me out so I have never had a winch.
I do have a Superlift on the Explorer if that helps.

Thats really too bad, I thought "THEEEEEE PURPLE" Explorer would be a great addition to add to the variety. The Pinzguauer would likewise be something different, however the winch is minimum equipment. Get working on those rigs..maybe next year.

what about XJ's?

Although I did not include the XJ in the exclusions, we are good on the Jeepee's.
