No need to spend the time cutting and fitting plate to your housing! This new differential truss from T&T Customs is designed to fit your housing and prevent those tubes from rotating, the housing from taco-ing, while giving you that unique trophy class look.

The truss comes pre-assembled. Welding is required and the truss ships bare metal.

Good looking truss there, Bob! And we sure know that every F8.8 needs one.

To bad you can't do one like that for the D44 in TJ's. I've had two customers "bend" their D44's, cause the tubes are so wimpy.

Oh? Is that a challenge? :D

Already in the works, show you a pic later today if you like.

What is the proper welding procedure to keep the housing from warping?

That truss would look good under my Explorer...

I imagine youd just stitch weld it(weld an inch or so and move to another cool section continuing till finished)

Proper welding of this truss or any such item on an axle housing is to stitch it. Nice and slow.

OK. Not too bad, just takes forever! Will the contracting of the heated steel cause it to cool taco'ed even if you stitch it, or no?

Great Product! I would be interesed in seeing one for a HP Dana 30 and a HP Dana 44.

When you weld in stiches it helps to wait to do your next round until the previous welds are cool to the touch. It may seem painful but in this case, patience just might prevent a serious screw up. Better plan to weld the truss on when you've got other things to do. Watching it cool off can be painful ;)

It will help speed up the process if you are able to strip the diff bare and turn it up on end after a series of stiches to allow the heat to rise freely out of the differential instead of just leaving it on the bench. It will cool faster and help prevent warpage.
