Had a great trip and wheeled with some great people. Gald to meet you Don, curt and James, sorry we only got one run together but it was a blast. We ran hells revenge 2 times, Meatal Masher, fins and things and Dump Bump. Tally for the trip included 1 new battery(Billy's jeep), 1 new starter(Heather's Jeep) and a axle shaft u-joint(mine). No other real issues except Billy's flop at the end of the last day on the end of Hells revenge. Weather was great on Thurs and Fri with 60's and blue sky, Sat was a mix of blue and clouds and around 55 and today was sunny and a little cool, 40's. Tow time was 6.5 hours there and 7 hours back due to snow and the twin 3 yr olds needing b-room breaks. Sorry no pics of Hell Revenge on day one as camera did not attend trip.

Was great to wheel with you guys on Thursday and wish I stayed instead of listening to weatherman frenzy of snow everywhere. My early morning Saturday drive was a breeze though.
Here is my side of the story :D
We hit Hells Revenge the first day and took our time and still made it out pretty quick.

The second day we hit Gold Bar Rim and the Spike to the Crack and then back out the same way.
We basically made it to the Crack in record time by just driving but we didn't get any pictures while out on the trails.
I follewed these guys and they just never stopped to spot anything and that was taking the tougher lines as well.
It was easy to follow them since both were great drivers.

Wish I hadn't missed this one Shawn. I had reservations for a room starting Thursday night up until a glow plug decided to break off in the head of the tow rig Wednesday afternoon. Finally got it out Friday afternoon as it was getting dark.

Don, Glad you guys made it O.K., we met up with you at the Crack basically. The three Jeeps and the Bronco. We played for a while, heading back to Double Whammy. The guy with us in the Green Jeep made it up Double Whammy on his second attempt. I broke the rear output shaft on the Bronco on my second attempt. Had to get a few tugs on the way out, but we still had a BLAST. We ran Pritchett on Sat. No one else around, cept for a couple of bikes. We made it thru Pritchett in 3 hours.

I was great to meet you guys and to run some trails with you.
Thanks for posting the Pic's Don they came out great. That Rubi of yours did a great job out there.
Shawn, That short bus is something else to see in action on the trail!
Heather, you drive the cr@p out of that yj! I was surprised that you got that thing through all that stuff. Correct me if I am wrong but the only time you got a strap was to start it right?
You guys in the Pueblo Ridge Runners are always a lot of fun and I never know when you are going to show up. Nice to see you again.
I had a blast running hells revenge, we moved through it pretty fast. Hell's Gate was as fun as I remember it last time. Escilator got the better of me but I managed to keep the rubberside down with the help of a winch. That rear pass tire just loves to drop in that hole.
Gold Bar into Golden Spike was a lot of fun. According to my GPS we left the parking lot and we were stopped on the ridge/overlook/cliff 1 hour and 5 minutes later. I thought we were going at a decent pace not to fast and not to slow. We didn't ever have to stop to spot each other so we just kept going. On the way out we did a little better on our time ;) 43 minutes. I guess we were moving along pretty good.
I got a touch of food poisoning on Friday night. Spent the entire night :barf:I think I lost about 10 - 15 pounds in the eight hours I should have been sleeping. I decided that I was in no shape to try to run anything Saturday morning so James got the rigs on the trailer and we tried to beat the storm back. Notice I said tried... We got on the road about 10 and I hunkered down in the passenger seat and pretty much passed out until we got up on 70 and thats when I told James to pull over :barf: We got back on the road and everything was cool until about exit 168. Thats when the traffic and weather really kicked in. Slow going on I-70 when you feel like crap sucks. The state troopers got on the CB and said that 70 was closed on Vail pass. We opted to keep going until they forced us off the highway. Thats exactly what they were doing at exit 180. We were watching the troopers force everyone off and 2 cars in front of us they opened it back up  Talk about timing!
I think this will turn into an anual event for me as well. I had a great time, the rates are dirt cheap, the trails are clear. Next time maybe we can bring a deep fryer and cook a turky on the trail, although the turkey dinner at the brewery was awesome!
