I had the most fun I think I've had in years today. I always knew my jeep would keep up with other stock suv's but I really have respect for it now. I know moody isnt a hard trail but still. I've been planning the next trip since I left the trail lol. Luckily moody and crystal were dry, we only saw some flurries at the top of moody. Dont know if anybody we passed is on here, I saw a newer year grand and a really old toyota. The guy in the yota was completly nuts. When met up on the trail and I was getting ready to back up to a clearing when he justs blasts up over the side of the trail, stops and waits for us to pass. Then he asks us if we want to buy a glass pipe. I didnt even respond, I just got back in my jeep and drove off. Minus the wierdo it was a great first run :)

Glad you had fun, once the bug bites there's no turning back. Just make sure you keep it on the trail, we have a hard enough time as it is keeping them open.

Don't mean to be a dick...but what part of the trail was this? Doesn't look
like it's on the trail...hard to tell in the pic...but if it isn't you need to really
pay attention before all these trails get shutdown.

Could have been me in the Grand, as I was up there Sat. It's a silver one with an ARB front bumper and a roof rack with lights. Sound like the one? It was a pretty cool day for wheelin'. One minute it was sunny, then really windy and cloudy, then snowing, then back to sun. Way cool!!

I thought it was on the trail, its near the beginning of moody, you go over a steep hill to a little "bowl" where there's a small cave. Maybe its not, idk. I really don't want anything to get shutdown. If it was not on the official trail, it was definatly well traveled by others.

Yea Im pretty sure it was you, I saw an ARB bumper on it for sure, you were stopped when we passed, I was in a blue tj, and my friends is a yellow one. Pretty cool, were you up there alone?

Let me know if you want to go again any Sun, Mon or Tues and I'll probably go with. I like Moody/Chrystal a lot. I live in Windsor just north of I25 and hwy34.

Yeah, I remember you guys. I had backed up an off shoot to let you guys by, and when turning back on the trail, my left front spring popped out. Not a big deal to fix, but we were almost done for the day and just wanted to go eat some hot food!

I was alone, except for a passenger, so I stayed on Moody and just played around a little.

congrats on your first trail run. get ready to spend some money upgrading your jeep! at the very least start out with some revovery gear and a hi-lift.

don't sweat the criticism about being off trail, just be mindful next time and take a peak at the tread lightly website for next time.

I guess I'll semi-hijack the thread and post our pics from last Sunday. Went up with Zac's group.

Bummer on the spring man! I know by the end my friend and I were dying for some hot food as well. We settled for good times.

I do plan on buying a high lift soon. As far as recovery equipment goes all I have right now is a tow strap and a comealong. I also need to make some quick discos and buy a small tire inflator. Kinda sucked not being able to disconnect or even air down lol.

Nice pics xlslc, it looks alot wetter in your pics than it was when we were there, it must have lightly rained/snowed that night. Also nice choice in cars. My friend has a 84 300zx non turbo, and a 95 twin turbo 300. I know both of them very well and am always impressed!
