A bunch of us who have done Ultimate Adventure and a few friends met up to run on of the tougher trails in Colorado Saturday.

We went to the Independence trail system near Penrose, we ran Liberty and Patriot. It was my first trip up Patriot.

The players:

Myself, '01 Ram 1500, 60/70, 241J, 37" Krawlers:

Corbin C, '98 Amigo, SAS, Marlins, 44/14 bolt, 37"s Krawlers

Nate M, '73 Waggy, 60/14 bolt, 350,ORD doubler, 40" MT/Rs,

Also with us was Scott K, with a YJ buggy who co-drove with Paul at UA 05,

and John with whats left of an XJ,

Over all it was a great trip, about 5 hrs to do both trails. We all had to winch up the exit which is getting tougher and tougher, and John had to take a little tug in the Airhole.

Carnage was fairly low too. Only true trail repair was John broke a auto trans cooling line which needed to be repaired before we moved on. I also lost both front beads and Corbin lost a rear bead on the exit which certainly made it entertaining. Oh yeah, Scott K scratched one of his new Allied beadlocks.

I just moved here from there and they expire soon, so I didn't figure I would change them until they were up. Plus, they are cool vanity plates.

Great group-Great trails....And yes, he DROVE the Blue Dodge throught the A-hole. Most amazing, after laying it on both sides to see which one looked better, IIRC it came through on the drivers side. We were gonna be there all night if that's what it took to get him through without a strap. Good drivin'!

Good drivin'!

Ummm I think its more of a persistance thing, and also not worrying too much about maxing out the inclinometers....

I should let Hooptie talk about his own rig, but IIRC, 350/TH350/Np203/205 doubler/ 35 spline outers on the 60, detroits in both I think.

Very custom traction bar, Superlift rear springs,

Some super clean fab work, the engine compartment and the rear bays are works of art.

guess i'm not sure which obstacle is the 'A-hole', so sorry if it's a redundant question....but did anybody walk the exit unassisted???

The "Air hole" is the large hole a few hundred yards from the start of Patriot you have to drive in and turn right out of.

No one drove the exit, I'm not sure the right formula to do it, but I think its becoming a full awn rock buggy obstacle.
