First off i just want to say, Melissa and I REALLY enjoyed wheelin with you guys! Much more fun when you go out with a small sized group like we had today. Hope we can do it again sometime real soon....hopefully with a little more lift and some better tires though! :P Anywho...didnt get too many pics but i think we can all agree that the highlight of the trip was poor Chris trying for 45+ minutes to get that 4 runner through the Chutes!

Yeah, it was a rough day today in the Chutes. I plan to try it again, but after I put my ARB locker and 5.29's in first. I had a blast, to say the least.

I'm trying to post pictures, bu for some reason Frontpage isn't wanting to work right now. Should be soon, though!

did that 4runner get any body damage tryin the chutes? or did he get far enough to get body damage?No real body damage in the chutes, just a bunch of hurt pride and stacking of rocks. Once I get my front locker in, I think it will be much more controlled and easier. Stay tuned for the video!

Looks like fun. Wish we could have made it up there, but I have too much research to do this weekend. We did get a few things taken care of on the jeep though, so we are shooting for next weekend. SYE is fixed, new battery too. That cold spell last week killed the old one.

Today was a blast. It was even more fun then the first time I ran it. It was a great group to wheel with and it was great meeting you guys. Like it was stated before, That little red sami just couldn't stopped. He went right up the chutes and I couldn't let him make it through there and me not. A huge thanks goes out to Chris and he definatly gets the "I will not give up" award for the day. Chris was a great spotter and I'm not sure if I could have made it up the chutes (open front and rear) with out him. :hail: Dean put on one heck of a show in the chutes to lead us off. Man can that YJ bounce!! :bounce2: :bounce2: There was only a scratch on the Toyotas fender and I got to finally use my tube fenders for what they were designed for and I scratch them as well in the chutes. I didn't get any real pictures of my own as I was in the back most of the day (no comments Dean!). Would love to make it but im having knee surgery monday morning so ill probably down for the count for a few weeks at least...but it'll give me a little time do give the Jeep a little well deserved attention...still have a set of rocker guards sitting in the garage that need to be put on and should probably get that clutch/cylinders replaced. Appreciate the invite though! Did seem like Kim had a great time though...always good to convert another person over to the dark side of wheelin! :wink:

We just installed 4.62 gears in our Sami and we haven't tried it on the trails but WOW does it make a difference on the road. I can't believe we can use 5th gear again.....

I was thinking of just going up to Johnny Park since it's close and it's pretty easy. Like I said PWSX4 has to get used to the vehicle before he can learn the wheeling part. He has driving our Kia Sportage off-road but the Sami will be a lot different. I'll just watch for the staging area......

oh, you did that on your settings page so when you click on the thread, all the pictures show up rather than having to click on each link and see one pix at a time. sometimes i will check that option, but alot of times there are alot of pix in a post and it take awhile to load them all.
