Since I'm up late after dealing with the DNS fiasco I figured I should share some good news regarding upcoming features. We've had most of these features at one time or another in the past, but as we've upgraded the BB it wasn't always practical to retain a particular feature. Also recently we lost nearly the entire site in a server outage, so some features simply haven't been restored yet. Anyway, on with my to-do list smilies/thefinger.gif

UBB 6.1 - This latest version of our bulletin board software is due for release within the next few weeks. The most notable new feature will be the return of the "Sent Messages" section for Private Messages. This alone is worth the upgrade IMO because personally I've been annoyed by the way the current Private Messaging works.

Calendar - We had a calendar before, but we'll be switching to a different version. The new version is better integrated into the BB.

Chat Room - Some of you will recall when we not only had a chat room, but on the main forum page you could see who was IN the chatroom at that moment. The chatroom is returning but, by popular request, it will be in the form of an IRC client (likely jIRC). The ability to see who is in the chatroom will also be returning.

Mailing list - There are still many users who rely primarily on email for organizing wheeling trips, so we'll be adding a mailing list for just such a purpose. Hopefully someday we'll be able to link the mailing list with the Calendar, but at this point in time that capability doesn't exist.

Upload section - This is perhaps the most desired feature. With our recent change of hosting services we now have space available to allow uploads. This means you will soon be able to store your images on CO4x4 for use in these forums.

Stickers - Thought I forgot about these didn't you smilies/wink.gif There was substantial interest in Colorado4x4.org stickers and I had the task of securing a supplier. I apologize for the continuing delay with these stickers and I assure you I still have every intention of providing stickers. Many things going on right now but rest assured that they have not been forgotten and WILL be available in the near future.[/list]
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Of course in addition to the above mentioned improvements are the various missing sections of the website such as the featured trail, the listing of trails, links, etc. etc. Hang in there, we're still rebuilding those smilies/smile.gif
Thanks for your patience in dealing with the recent server and DNS problems. As you can see, we have some cool things planned for this site in the coming weeks. As always, we strongly encourage YOUR participation in the development of this resource. This is OUR website so don't hesitate to share your thoughts and ideas on its direction and content!
