Just when you thought it was safe to go back on the net, now we have a DNS problem It appears that thedomainnamegroup.com, with whom I registered the domain name Colorado4x4.org and is a sister company of host-all.com, has decided that since we've dropped our service with host-all.com (the jackasses who left us without service for 4 days, offered no explanations, and lost all backups of the site) we're no longer welcome to use their DNS server. I've submitted a request for a transfer of Registrar but this will take up to 10 days to go thru. In the meantime I'm trying to setup a temporary DNS server and hope to have us back online within a day or two. I'll post here when I have more info. My apologies for the downtime once again, but on the bright side at least we didn't lose anything this time... we just can't access the site via the domain name Stay tuned for the next episode in this rediculous soap opera.
Until further notice, access this site via http://slideruhl.pirate4x4.net

We have a temporary DNS server in place until we can complete the Registrar transfer. Hopefully within a day or two colorado4x4.org will be a valid link again. Until then we'll stick with the temporary address, but we will switch back as soon as the DNS changes go thru. Thanks for your patience!

The new DNS is working for me already, so hopefully by tomorrow everyone will be able to use the colorado4x4.org URL again (so all your bookmarks for this site will work again). However, the site will remain setup as slideruhl.pirate4x4.net until we complete the Registrar transfer just in case that doesn't go as smoothly as we hope. It's just too much of a p.i.t.a. for me to change all of the links, especially if we have to revert to the slideruhl link again in the near future. What this means is that you'll be able to access the site as usual via www.colorado4x4.org, (http://www.colorado4x4.org,) but as soon as you follow a link on the site you'll see the URL switch to slideruhl.pirate4x4.net. Purely cosmetic I assure you... same server, same files, same everything. Both domain names point to the same place. Once we're settled into the new Registrar and their DNS takes over the colorado4x4.org duties we'll drop the slideruhl stuff and we'll be 100% colorado4x4.org again smilies/beer.gif
I hope I didn't lose anyone in there???
