What's the chance of adding PDF format to the list of approved filetypes that can be uploaded by supporting members? Should would make sharing drawing files & the like a lot easier....

 PDF's are already a permitted file type. I had it size limited to 20K, perhaps that was the problem? I'll increase it to 100k.

honestly, even 100k is a bit tight for PDF standards. unless it's just a page of text. looking at my corporate PDFs, they range in size from 500k to 10MB.

good idea, but i think we'd eat up Eric's bandwidth pretty fast.

Ditto on the .pdf size limits. The CCFK flyer was pretty big - I think it was over 10mb

A 10MB PDF won't work as an attachment because your total storage space is only 5MB.

My own single-sheet PDF drawings usually run around 20KB. I just looked at a 15 page PDF product specification and that was 73KB. If you're trying to share something that's 500KB to 10MB you're really need to host that on your own.

I think a lot of people dont realize that most web providers have webspace set aside for them... get an FTP program and set it up, it takes some knowledge, but hosting your own files is easy! I have 6 available email addresses, so i have basically 60Mb of online storage... it's awesome!

look into it and learn how to use it, makes a lot of things easier, like your avatar and such.

P.S. I have earthlink, I think they all provide webspace, but might not provide 6 addresses like my funky wireless broadband...
