So I have been eyeballin' this product and I keep a Delorme Gazeteer in my Jeep but for back country hiking/camping I would like a reliable and detailed GPS and the Delorme maps seem second to none.

It is really pricey though. I am curious is anyone here using this brand or model and if not and you like what you have please post it up.

Thanks in advance for the opinions/advice.

I use a Garmin GPSmap 60CSx. I've got it loaded with free topo maps from MISCJUNK and GPSFileDepot. They seem to be as accurate as anything out there. Of course, with any map you will find mistakes.

Been using the older PN40 for a few years and have been happy with it.

a little late, but I would like to be using one.

bringing an old thread back to life just to not add any substance.
