I like the real customs, not the converted Harley's and Honda's, they look like someone put training wheels on a motorcycle, kinda like Lehman Trikes.

Yep, and Im not real fond of the vw powered trikes. I dunno, some of the customs are tastefully done, others should have been aborted upon conception.

Well my wife and I are raising her sons two granddaughters, so we don't get to ride the Harley much anymore. So, I told my wife I want to build a trike so we all can ride together.
I plan on using the whole back half of a Dodge dually truck be, cut off right at the cab. Then I plan on using a 12valve cummins for the power. The truck bed, I will bag it and be running these wheels.

So then imagine the wheels above stuffed up in the 2003 Dodge bed kinda like this.

But I will be using a bed like this 03' Dodge dually bed.

Wow. Please keep us updated. I built my bike more along the no frills line, but this sounds interesting.

I got a 2003 dually bed in near perfect shape delivered from Pueblo West to Arvada for $850, what a killer deal. One 3 inch little crease dent which is hard to see above the tail light and just a few minor scratches.

Maybe I should start a build thread. I plan on starting one on a Trike Forum I'm on.

I really need a house to rent so I can start this project. My wife and I are looking for a house right now. Mainly west of I25 form North Arvada to South Littleton and no more than $1,300 a month.

On the trailer ready for delivery.

The donor truck. I went to Oklahoma this weekend to pick this up. The truck is cleaner that what I thought when I got it home, so I don't know if I want to chop it up yet. Got it for $2,500, Cummins, Auto, 2wd.

Well I rented a house in Arvada for 1200 a month, nice big house with a 2 car garage up around 64th a Ward rd. I hope to start the build in a few weeks, I need to put this garage together to make things easy. I go the truck at my new house now I need to get the bed moved over here, any body have a trailer I can borrow to move my bed? I will be moving the bed from 54th and Carr st. in Arvada to west Arvada.

I rode one of these with a big block in it when I was in FL. I was amazed at how much power it was able to put to the ground without breaking the tires loose. When I hammered it it just lunged forward like an old school dragster. Almost snapped my neck. Other than the heat around my feet/legs, I was very impressed. Something about having a big block between your legs is just too cool. I also rode one of their bikes with a small block. Also impressive, but it did not handle very well.

Yes, those are fast. I'm going to be curious how fast mine will be with the 12 valve Cummins compared to the BossHoss. Plus, mine will be about a 4th, to a 5th, of the cost to build compared to buying a Bosshoss, and mine will alos be one of a kind in the world :D

No problem, this weekend might be pushing it for me, maybe the following weekend. The weekemd after that, I have to fly out to Vegas, then down to Bullhead City to help my mom move back here. So whatever works for yo will work for me.
THANKS for the offer!!:hail:

I wish I was going to be there, but no way can I make it this year, using my vacation for Sturgis. Have fun, and keep the rubber on the rocks if possible.

I forgot, I won't get off of work until 5am Saturday morning (depending if it snows), so it will be more like late afternoon 4 or 5pm.

Well I heard that the wheels above have been known to get cracks. So I decided to go with the Alcoa Peterbilt wheels machined from 24.5" to 24" so I can have a huge range of tire sizes to choose from, plus the incredible strenth and a lot cheaper on the wallet.
And by the way, the wheels below are on the same truck bed that I have so it gives people an idea of how the bed and wheels will look.
