I know we have a diverse group of go fast owners here but are there any that have bimmers? Just sold the vettte and picked up a V-10 M6 and was wondering on mods, any advice or good sites that can steer me in a good direction. the ones I found through google are more geared toward body kits and 20" rims:tisk:

Right now I am thinking :
computer work (remove the 155 speed limit)
exhaust (dinan real pricey for mufflers and tips, or Borla/MagnaFlow)
CAI

TIA

I don't know about sites but, I just happened to be at Barnes and Nobles last night looking at car mags. There were quite a few BMW based mags geared toward performance and mods. I am pretty sure I picked up at least 4 of them with that basis to the articles.

Well, after one week I must say that there are quite a few areas where this car is head and shoulders over the Vette (mainly over 5k RPMs, breaking, interior, seems to handle a little tighter at highway speeds, and can carry Golf bag and a guest). the driving is different because it comes alive between 5k and 8k and it deserves to be driven in that power-band. Spent one lunch at Advantage in Midtown Houston driving around with a tech to get a tutorial on the different modes and settings.
Yep, there is theme that I like Black/Black cars and just look at those Brakes:drool: quite a bit better that the offerings on the C6

Have already ordered new springs ~1" lower, bigger rear sway bar, some gadget for the front, stage 2 computer work Dinan to not tick off the warranty Gods, RPI cold air.

Hope to get some free time when in Texas soon to head out to MSR to get some turns and speed runs in.

Yes. (and even coming out of posting retirement to post this).

Bimmerforums.com can be decent, but it's catered to a pretty broad crowd (from antiques to the new F10's). You'd have to search to find what you were looking for there.

M5Board.com is better, don't let the name scare you, there is a subforum for the E60/E63/E64 platform.

Let me know if you ever bring it up, and I'll bring a Roundie out to play.
