"If there is a complete separation, the roof panel may detach from the vehicle," according to the NHTSA. "If this were to occur while the vehicle was being driven, it could strike a following vehicle and cause injury and/or property damage."

That would not be fun at 130 in a ORR :D

Been a TSB since 2006. Now it's an official recall. Mine had it, and roof was replaced in the first year by GM at no cost.

They just peel back like a sardine can. The latches stay in place, but the "fiberglass", which is technically called SMC, roof panel just flys off. Definitely not something you want to have happen. Fortunately, they seperate usually before they fly off......my dad had his all duct taped up for a week while on a road trip when the car was new, prior to GM replacing it.

Would be a lot worse at 168 mph. Don't wanna find out... ;)
