Pop up box

How do we get rid of this annoying pop up box every time I move my mouse over a thread? This absolutely drives me nuts! I really didn't need any more help with that!

I don't think you can. Personally I like it, I can read the first couple of lines from a thread without actually opening the thread, it speeds up my dialup connection by not having to wait for threads to load that I end up not wanting to read anyway. Every foru I visit has it now.

I've asked this as well, and diddn't get a response.

I would like it to go away, or at least have the option.

I love it... if you dont want it to pop up then dont hold your mouse over the thread... juts hold it off to the side!

it makes for a great way to read what the thread is about... or better yet... what is for sale in the sale section!

I think eric could make the pop up time a little longer, but not make it an option, at least i have seen it work on other forums, but not pop up so soon, and i think that might be a good compromise

I like the preview pop-up. I save a ton of time not opening posts that the poster use a somewhat deciving or unclear title. I get tired of opening "Have a question..." titled posts and find out they want to know how where to get a new gas cap or something stupid. Eric, KEEP IT!

This is not a user-selectable option and my only choices are to enable it or disable it for everyone. Making it a user-selectable option requires modifying the code and right now that is pretty low on my priority list. I wish it was an option out of the box, but it isn't so it'll be awhile before I can change it. So for now it stays on for everyone and, if you want to avoid the popup, simply keep your mouse pointer off to the side. That's the best I can offer at this time.

holding down the SHIFT key while hovering over the thread titles got rid of it for me--
