Anyone been up to look for salmon this year? Was thinking about going next weekend.

What's the best technique? I've got some weighted snagging hooks. DOW says snagging is permitted east of the inlet line. Can this be done from shore, or would it be best to take the canoe out there?

Just saw this. Snagging won't be good at 11 mile for a few more years. Gill lice has killed off the majority of mature Salmon in the lake. Salmon population isn't expected to be decent until 2011 or later.

Went up to 11 mile today looking for salmon. Didn't see catch any myself, but saw several people with 3+ large salmon on their stringers. I might go back in a week or two to give it another shot now that I know the technique and where they're located.

I did catch a nice rainbow though. Details in other post.
