I have experimented with long exposures and simple light painting techniques but I would like to play around with it some more.

I was thinking of getting some gells and some light sources.

I will probably order a couple of these:

and probably purchase a automotive cold cathode "underglow" style light and run that off a small battery pack (Which I have seen done)

anybody have some advice/experience/ideas?

here are some examples of what I am talking about, I know the guy who took these.

Not sure if Lost America fully counts as light painting, but they do some cool stuff and have published a book...
