I just got an email request for help.

anyone interested?

CUSP needs crew leaders for Oct 9th for two projects. Don't be shy! We are expecting up to 600 boy scouts. We will have 250 in the field at a time. I would love to have 20 experience workers who are ready to be crew leaders. Remember high top sturdy boots, especially if you pick Wigwam creek. Layers in case it's cold, long pants and pack your own water and at this time lunch.

If you can help please contact Theresa@uppersouthplatte.net (Theresa@uppersouthplatte.net) and state which project you would like to work on.

Project number 1 Wigwam Creek. Plan A is to work on public lands installing straw check dams, seeding and mulching. Plan B is the private property that drains into Wigwam but has easier access and will be better if rain
is forecast. All the easy stuff is done. We will have to do a bit of hiking on this project. We need leaders who can insure the group is doing the work correctly and does not get lost.

Project number 2. This will be the younger Scouts, Weblos, out on the 211 Road. They will be hoeing around the seedling trees that were planted in the spring. We need leaders who can watch the boys work and make sure
they clean out growth around live trees and leave them alive. USFS Brent Botts will lead this project.

Thanks in advance for your help!
