Want to test out your rig in some side by side racing? Come out to CORE on Aug 30th for some short course racing. Anything from bone stock to trophy truck can race. The jumps are mild and the track is wide so this should make for some good racing.

Entry fees are still being worked out. More detailed event info should be posted soon on www.xscorr.com and www.coloradooffroadextreme.com

I was thinking about adding a "cash for clunkers" class for people that are planning to trade in a vehicle under this program and want to have some fun with it before the dealer destroys it. This would be a "bump & run" race where you can push each other around on the track...

Do you think there would be much interest in this? It would be fun as hell to watch!

Here are some pics from the Calhan race so you get an idea of what kind of trucks/buggy were there. I would like to personally thank all these drivers who had the balls to race side-by-side. Most of them had never done this type of racing before.

I hope all of these drivers can make it to CORE on the 30th, some of them have already confirmed. I would like to get as many trucks as possible for this event. There is plenty of room and we have all day to race.

There are stock classes for trucks so come on out with your trail rig and see what ya got!

There is a practice day on saturday Aug 29th. The fees are $20 for trucks/buggies and $10 for quads. You can come out even if you are not racing on the 30th. This would be a good day to see what the track is like and to size up the competition!

For Sunday, spectators only pay $5 and kids under 12 are free. Driver entry is $50 and all classes will do 50% payback.

If you want to volunteer to help with the event, please contact me via PM or through the www.xscorr.com site.

Track is going to be awesome. Worked on it this afternoon, and will be back to finish it in the morning, and to start watering it in for sunday. These guys racing this track side by side is going to be a wild show..:D

My truck is ready to race. I am running 4.56 gears this time and I have swapped to a Q-jet carb. I moved the shocks in the rear and added huge bumpstop on all 4 corners. Lets see how she does!

Well I broke the front shock mounts so I had a short day. I liked the track but the main jump need to have a little longer takeoff ramp for us race trucks. The buggies really got some air off it though!

The #26 bronco had a hard time with that jump. It kicked his rear up every time. The Rockware ranger did really well on the entire course. I broke a shock mount so I played it safe. I want the truck to be running for the 200 mile race here in a few weeks.

I wasnt there unfortunately, but from what I was hearing the trucks did ok as long as they were in the throttle, but started nose diving the jumps when they started being more cautious. looked pretty flat in a couple of pics, but that one ranger got out way to soon to hit that double, thats a very short one.

I will come out and play on that track when I get more free time. Thanks for setting it up!

Do you think it is worthwhile to do another short course race sometime this winter?

Beats me, Im sure the buggy guys wouldnt mind, but your the guy with the tough truck connections. Unless its a better turnout than this one, I dunno.
