A buddy and I decided to do a day trip up to Black Lake in RMNP yesterday. The trail is about 5 miles one way and has an elevation gain of about 1500ft. It's a pretty strenous trail but worth all the effort to get up there. There was a ton of snow still up there and the lake was still mostly frozen. We were going to try to make it up to Green Lake but with all the snow and the incoming snow storm we decided to turn around. Amazingly it wasn't very crowded for RMNP, only saw 1 other person at the lake. Anyway it was an awesome trip and I highly recommend this trail for anyone looking for killer scenery and a good workout. Here are a few pics.

Nice pics - I love trips where the weather turns bad. Makes you feel like you have earned something on that trip:)
