Not sure where else to post this, but I'll post it here because I had my other flycam stuff here.

After 3 failed attempts I was finally successful at recording a rocket flight. At some point during 2 of the 3 the first attempts the camera shut off, possibly from G's, and a third attempt stopped recording from a mounting issue, I was starting to think it wouldn't work.

As it was, the rocket didn't head into the wind like it was supposed to, at takeoff it changed direction almost vertically and it drifted much farther than any of the other flights had. It ended up 30' up in the top of a neighbor's tree and we didn't find it until the next day. Getting it down sucked.

I borrowed a friend's unknown model rocket and put a G79 motor in it. It would be good for 1500' without the camera but with it I think the altitude was around 1000'.

I would agree on your altitude estimate. We jump around 1300, and it was pretty similar view.

awesome deal. going to go check out those camera's now.
