OK I honestly dont think we have enought traffic at the forums to warrant breaking it up that far.

I think having a 4x4 for sale section, and a general purpose for sale section is more then enough.

This was discussed at length before going to the new software. At that time, it was the general concensus of the board that they wanted the break down. Eric just hasn't had time to get to it until now.

My question to you is what do you feel the break down is going to hurt? We feel it will make finding what you are looking for a lot easier and should promote less rule violation.

We may not have enough traffic right know but it will make finding what your looking for easier and in the future as traffic picks up it will be ready for it.

honestly, i think it's broken down a bit too much for the amount of FS posts we currently have. although, i visit the FS forums just to window shop anyway, not necessarily looking for something in particular. if i see something i can use, and the price is right, i'll buy. most of the time i'm not looking for something.

Fortunately for everyone this stuff isn't set in stone. Long ago I shared a preview of what the new Classifieds might look like and suggestions were incorporated even at that early stage. Now that we're finally "settled in" to the new software it's time to start moving forward with the rest of the site changes. The new look to the Classifieds is part of those changes and the most logical place to start is exactly where we left off. As time goes by we'll get a feel for the relevance of the current catagories. Maybe several will be combined, maybe some will be further expanded. It's too early to tell so we'll adjust in time.
