I know there is a way to make one color stand out more in a photo but either a) i lack the skills/knowledge to do it or find how to do it or b)PS Elements doesn't have an option for it.

I want to make the blue/green in the bunny ears stand out more, since there is a white background, it all just kind of gets lost in there.

Can someone help me out? I've tried selecting that area and adjusting the hues/saturation but it just looks "fake".

Lightroom has tons of adjustment for saturation, vibrance and color hues...i would imagine playing around with the sliders in there would give the effect your looking for. Of you could just use the adjustment brush, crank up the saturation and paint just the blue areas.

Theres really only so much blue you can add to that photo before things start to look fake though. Considering the subject and what your trying to accomplish, you'd get better results by using a different color background...

Any suggestions on the background color? i'm limited right now with white and blue, lol, cause i'm using his blankets for the backdrops.

The only thing is that the blue blankets don't match the blue in the ears, the blue in ears have a more greenish tint to them.

I'm going to play some more with it tonight, if i can't get it to stand out a bitmore then i'm going to call it a day and submit it as is.

Walmart sheets...the cheapest, lowest, crappiest ones they have make awesome backdrops and their dirt cheap.

Id suggest you pick up several different ones...black, couple shades of gray, white, maybe a tan(sand) colored one...

If you did the same setup but with a black or other darker color for the background, those ears would stand out MUCH more!

You can also go to Denver Fabric (off of Santa Fe and Bowles IIRC) and go through their remnant racks and get background material for cheap. I did that and was happy with what I got.

I use the Walmart sheets. If you hurry they are closing out the "winter" colors for like $2-$4 a sheet. Just make sure you iron them (or steam them if you have a fabric steamer).

I have about 10 different colors now.

i played around a bit more last night and here's what i got, but I think i'm going to pick up some sheets and take some more shots this weekend.

unedited (well the ears are edited, the rest isn't)

Best I could do without getting too crazy with the airbrush.

That looks great! I'll try again with the airbrush. Last night i just used the quick select tool (based on color) and then adjusted the color.
