View Full Version : Server time/date glitch causes issues

Recently a server glitch briefly changed the date to March, 2024. This software (as well as the old BB software) relies heavily on the server time reference and, as you noticed, when the time/date gets screwed up weird things happen. The date has since been corrected but a few issues remained:

Several functions of this software are automated and after the date was corrected these automated functions were left waiting until 2024 before they would execute again. PM's weren't being delivered, emails weren't being sent, etc. etc. All functions have been reset and are working properly again.
Any user that created a post, performed a search, or sent a PM while the date was 2024 was promptly subjected to the flood control error(s) after the date was corrected. You now had to wait 20 years before you would be allowed to post / search / PM again :silly: I'm currently trying to find a way to correct all of the erroneous dates in the database, but until then I've temporarily turned off flood control.

Hopefully things are back to normal now.
