Took the canoe out on 11 mile yesterday, and didn't catch a darn thing. Saw some monsters swimming below the boat, but they weren't biting. Not sure what they were. Salmon or carp maybe? They were really fat and about two feet long.

We stuck to the east end of the res. Had to leave early because the wind was really kicking up. Made for a long hard paddle back across the lake. Power boats were a new experience. Don't know that I like mixing with them. Might try Rampart res next weekend. They're allowing non-motorized boats now.

I'm a memeber of www.fishexplorer.com and it is the best fishing site i've found so far for colorado specific lakes, species, etc. Check it out, good group of guys too.
