I just got back from Yellowstone and will add it to my list of things everbody should see. Glacier point in Yosimite Park has to top my list but seeing things like top fuel drag racing in person are also on it. Whats on you list of things every American should see or do once in their lives?

really those oldsmobiles are a touch over rated, especially in person.
Do something on stage in front of 10k+ people. Make a speech, play in a band, anything. Most incredible feeling when that many people are hanging on your every word. Gives you faith that maybe a difference can be made in the world.
Visually, I'll still say the Alhambra is one of the greatest human creations. For natural beauty, go out chasing. Even if you don't catch a tornado some of the lighting and colors in the clouds are like nothing anywhere else.

definately go venture abroad, i spent 10 days in europe a couple years ago, complete bliss, awsome people, beautiful architecture, good foods. I cant wait to go some new place,
I think that everyone should have to go and spend a week learning the basics of life and how to survive in the wilderness.
people should think about what they would never do and then take is a step further, just do it people, live your life, you only get 1 chance might as well make it count.

Did that, and then a month later they tried to sue me (I was a Life Guard then) and the Hot Springs Hotel for serving them too much liquor. Then we "made them" dive into the shallow end of the pool. He's a Quad now.
I quit shortly after that.

Been there. Egypt is a sharthole!! Not very American friendly anymore. My niece just got back from Europe. She went to Egypt as well. That's where I got my info on the friendly part.
I saw the Grateful Dead at the Pyramids, in 1978. That was the first place I visited on my first Med cruise. The Dead played our first night there.

how about HAVE a son and/or daughter? :P
*disclaimer... having children has been proven to significantly reduce the time and money allowed to be spent on rig projects, tiddybars, booze, guns, outdoor gear, and cigars. therefore, i am not interested until jeep is finished, i've put 4 dancin girls through college, drank more than LP, bought my arsenal, amassed an REI store worth of gear, and smoked everything twodogs sells... then, bring on the babymaker

Took a Glider Ride a few years ago that was awesome.
Got a glider rating back when I lived in Florida. Not too many people realize that Florida has the second highest population of bald eagles in the nation, behind Alaska. One day, circling in a thermal, I looked out and maybe 60 yards away, circling directly opposite me in the same thermal, was a bald eagle. We went around and around together for at least five or six minutes before he peeled off and flew away. Now THAT was awesome!
Things everybody should see or do? The things you WANT to see or do. The main thing is to DO! Don't just sit there, coasting through life, letting it just sort of happen to you. Take an active part and make your life what you want it to be.
