Went up and ran MSV/Coney Flats yesterday with a couple of other guys.
We had a great day- the trail is in good shape, some fun water crossings, and just beautiful scenery.
The only downer part of the day was a large group (7+ rigs, all well built), that seemed to feel no need to exercise basic trail courtesy. I was in 4:1 low, 2nd gear with my 4.88's, barely idling- so what I'm saying is that I was going EXTREMELY slow, and this group felt no inclination to move over when one of them parked right in the middle of the trail for a bathroom break, then up the trail at .000001 MPH, then not pulling over when one of their rigs OVERHEATED- maybe if they were moving a little faster than the speed of glacial movement it wouldn't overheat, dude...........
They just stopped the whole line of Jeeps, backing up the trail for a ridiculously long time, with no regard for others. There are plenty of pull-outs on MSV.   When they overheated, I went up to the front of their line, and said "put a strap on that thing, we're 1/4 mile from the lake. Holy Christ, people- use a little common sense.
They were a local group, apparently affiliated with a local accessory shop- which I won't name, out of self-restraint, and the hope that they might get a clue about the fact that they don't own the trail. Can you tell I'm a bit pizzed?
Courtesy, people, courtesy.
Oh well, rant off, here are some pics:
