I have a crap-load of pallets I want to get rid of. Does anyone know of a place that buys 'em?

Yeah but then you have to spend hours getting all of the nails out of the dirt and pit.

Call Carl out at CORE and see if you can put them there. Then we can burn them during the big party. Just a thought.

I usually spend all of my time packing the beer and forget about logical stuff like that.

Dude! Amen.

Texas Tech used to make its homecoming bonfire out of old pallets (there are no trees in W. Texas so it figures).

They'd nail and cable them together 40 or 50 feet high and at least that wide and put an outhouse on top with the initials of whatever team we were facing the following day.

It may not have been as *big* as the one at Texas A&M but it burned WAY hotter and WAY WAY faster because the wood was thin, dry and there was plenty of air space in the stack. Holy crap that bonfire went up fast and people would have to walk back at brisk pace to escape the heat of it.
