Anyone have those days where you can't even look at any news articles for fear of being driven to an even greater depression?

Seriously. Seems like every day the whole world is one step closer to implosion.

That is all.

The news sucks! Headline grabbing ratings seeking fawks. There much good going on in the world, but we don't here much of that or you get the little tid bit human interest story at the end.

If history repeats, it seems like the late 70's again. Nothin' but bad news everywhere.
Gas prices, war, floods and other assorted pestilence... And that's the good news!!

Oh yeah, I watched a documentary on it recently. Pretty dangerous in some areas. Very hard to combat it.

When all is said and done, all the world's problems can be filtered, distilled, concentrated, and coagulated down into one simple problem. One little thing that if eliminated would free up mankind to live in utopia. You wanna know what the problem is?

Good news doesn't sell - the bad news does sell and the horrible news makes record profits. Why would any sensationalistic garbage spewing program actually tell you anything good?

and on the tin foil hat side - if everything was good or at least balanced, we might have time to actually ponder on what the heck our "leaders" are doing and possibly do something about it. as long as the world is going to hell, then we need protecting and their job is safe. :D

News sucks, and I am tired of hearing how we are all evil and going to die.

That is all.

The news is geared that way, drama and horrible things make news. Things aren't any worse than they have been. With global information networks we just hear about more faster.

It has become a sarcastic proverb that a thing must be true if you saw it in a newspaper. That is the opinion intelligent people have of that lying vehicle in a nutshell. But the trouble is that the stupid people--who constitute the grand overwhelming majority of this and all other nations--do believe and are moulded and convinced by what they get out of a newspaper, and there is where the harm lies.
